Financial Podcasts-The Five Best

Is This You?

American workers spend an average of 26 minutes driving to work each way. If you live in Los Angeles like me, the average one-way commute is 54 minutes. That’s a whopping 9 hours per week. Instead of stressing out, cursing or getting into a road rage, why not improve your financial literacy by listening to financial podcasts

Educate Yourself Through Financial Podcasts

Well, you may still curse but at least you’ll be smarter. Educating yourself by listening to financial podcasts is the second step to becoming financially free. The first step is wanting to become financially free (Why Do You Want To Be Rich?) And when you become financially free, you wouldn’t have to drive to work if you don’t want to.

Podcasts are great way to learn as well as pass the time. The best thing is that they’re free.

There are lots of financial podcasts to choose from. These are my current favorites for the content quality, energy of the host and usefulness.

The 5 Best Finance Podcasts

Edelman is regarded as one of the nation’s top financial advisor and the co-founder of Edelman Financial Engines. He’s also authored several best selling books on finance. Edelman gives you comprehensive, updated and usable information on investments, IRA’s, retirement planning, and more. If I had to listen to just one financial podcast on money related issues, it would be this one.

As the name suggests, Flynn’s podcast concentrates on how to build and grow an online business to generate passive income. Flynn’s been publishing podcasts for over 10 years. And he has interviewed talented entrepreneurs and authors such as my favorites, Ramit Sethi, who wrote “I Will Teach You to Be Rich”. He covers diverse topics from creating a blog to marketing your business. If you want to start a side hustle, this is the podcast for you. Flynn will inspire you to get up and do it.

JLD has interviewed over thousands entrepreneurs including Tony Robins, Gary Vaynerchuk, Barbara Corcoran and Tim Ferriss. He publishes his podcast from Puerto Rico. As a result, he pays just 4% corporate tax and no state or federal tax. Perhaps that’s why he’s so energetic and happy all the time. He is a true master of podcasting.

Turner and Green interview real estate investors who left their 9-5 jobs after replacing their salary with rental income. They cover topics on how to flip houses and the concept of BRRRR (Buy, Rehab, Rent, Refinance, and Repeat). If you want to diversify your portfolio and learn how to create wealth through real estate investing, tune into BiggerPockets Real Estate Podcast.

Fairless set himself apart by publishing the world’s longest running daily real estate investing podcast. He controls more than $700 million worth of real estate. He has also written three books on real estate investing. I believe he’s the next Donald Trump of real estate. What makes him stand out is his brilliant way of unpacking the stories and summarizing the interview. If you are a budding podcaster, you can learn by just studying his interview technique. You will also learn about investing in apartments, syndication, and more.

Make every minute count by educating yourself on how to build your financial nest eggs, even when you’re driving.
